It is true. Pretty sure it's not ironic since they shouted out Marx and Engels in their Game Awards acceptance speech.
The disc. The disc is your license.
Also I don't know if you know this, but we're talking about video game Preservation. That is not an issue during the current lifecycle, but rather decades down the line.
So let's say you buy a 'retro' Series X and a handful of games on eBay in 2041 for $40, because this person found it in their son's bedroom. MS has shutdown the servers you connect to. Then what? Your old games on disc that you ...
I don't know if you know this, but electronics eventually die. What happens in 10, 30, 50 years when all your systems are no longer working?
Paying customers get the shaft. Awesome...
It's pretty cool. Returnal uses it and with good headphones hearing where stuff is bouncing around behind you is pretty damn neat.
@Vegamyster
Using a 240 or 360hz display to play eSports is not the same as playing console games at 60, or even 120 in some cases.
@ufo8mycat
Stop. Nobody needs your stupid snark. And FYI this is coming from someone with a PC more powerful than PS5/Series X.
@CML2
Thank you captain obvious. A 360 looked better on a 480i TV than a Xbox did (except for reading text). A PS4 looked better on a 720p TV ...
This blows my mind. My last 3 phones have had higher resolutions. I bought a 1080p TV in 2006. Gamers still using this ancient technology is baffling.
You're right, but honestly as someone who bought a PS5 and PS4 within ~6 months of launch, the PS5 has been getting more play time compared to a PS4 at the same time (Oh, and I had a PS3 when I bought the PS4).
Keep in mind I'm primarily PC for a few years, so I really only use the console for exclusives. But having skipped 2020 console gaming, since picking up a PS5 I've played Miles Morales, started GoT, but now waiting for Director's Cut to continue, play...
The last Housemarque game that came to Xbox was in 2011. Who cares if their non-existent games aren't coming to Xbox? That wasn't happening in the first place anyways.
You don't need 2.1 for 120hz. My 5 year old monitor with DP 1.2 does 1080p/120 perfectly fine. Doesn't make much of a difference anyways since no games are 2160p @ 120 besides Ori.
Wonder if the rumor about this being PS+ is true?
Wow. So you think they're in the "early stages" of Redfall development, but will be releasing it in 12-14 months. Big brain right there.
That's what happens when you need to get it running on tablet level CPUs from ~10 years ago.
They're not talking about games releasing on X1 and Series. They're talking about actual BC for 360 and OG Xbox.
You really think a studio is going to put out 2 games in ~12 months and you have the audacity to defend a CGI trailer. Learn about dev cycles and/or get the fanboy out of your mouth. Arkane has multiple studios and they managed to show Deathloop gameplay a year before release.
Nobody, NOBODY should accept CGI trailers in 2021 idgaf which company is doing it.
If Sony not showing up destroys your expo, then Sony IS the expo.
@Atticus_finch
It LITERALLY did not. Only native PS5 games can do that. Otherwise it's just the DualSense emulating a DS4.
It did not. Try reading with more attention.
Is he wrong though? What would be different about a Siege 2 except for charging you $60/70? I mean maybe they make it current gen only, but they could eventually segregate PS4 from PS5 players anyways and put the old version in legacy with no more updates, which would happen anyways if there was a Siege 2. What was the point of this article btw? Just to point out a single Reddit comment that anyone who cares about the game like a 'hardcore gamer' already read. I swear sometimes games ...
